The commission formed under the chairmanship of former secretary Nagendra Prasad Ghimire submitted its report to the Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Sudan Kirati. The commission, which took a total of eight months and three days to prepare its report after conducting an investigation, included members such as retired Captain Deepak Prakash Bastola from the Nepali Army, retired Captain Sunil Thapa, Aeronautical Engineer Ekaraj Jung Thapa, and Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Buddhi Sagar Lamichhane.

It is noteworthy that the Nepalese government established the five-member investigation commission on the same day as the plane crash. The commission members included retired Captain Deepak Prakash Bastola from the Nepali Army, retired Captain Sunil Thapa, Aeronautical Engineer Ekaraj Jung Thapa, and Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Buddhi Sagar Lamichhane.
